Q & A

Do you offer packages?

Yes, though more often I tailor my packages to meet the needs of my client. One event can go for 12 hours, have an extra photographer, two assistants, and include multiple albums. This is obviously more expensive than a 4 hour party. Once I know the details of your event and I would be happy to send you a list of appropriate standard and custom packages.

When will we receive our proofs?

All images are individually analyzed for color, contrast and exposure. On line galleries will be ready within 2-3 weeks of your event. The 4x6 proofs are ready within 3-5 weeks of your event.

Do we get the originals?

Yes! All my clients are entitled to DVDs with all the images prepped as high resolution JPG’s within 3 weeks of the event- not a year later or after the album is ordered.

Do you put the photos on line?

All jobs are posted on a password protected site where guests can view and order photos. Because the files are already yours, there is only a minor markup on print prices.

Do you provide video?

I have several different videographers with whom I enjoy working. They are all reportage like myself, but offer different packages. I am happy to add them to any package.

Do you make Albums?

Yes. In addition to the more modern day coffee table book, I offer a broad range of board books in all shapes and sizes in a vast selection of materials. All albums are designed and prepared in house.

Do you shoot Engagement Portraits?

Yes. Most packages include an outdoor natural light portrait session. It is a great opportunity for you to get more comfortable with the camera and for us to get to know each other better.

Do you work alone?

I always bring an assistant. Usually, he or she is a skilled photographer themselves and will often have a camera in hand when additional coverage is needed. For much larger events, or where the schedule requires I am in more than one place at a time, I will add another shooter.

What if you're ill or break a toe and can't make it?

If I broke my toe I'd still be there. But in the event of extreme illness -- the photography community is small -- I ensure that you will have a choice of photographers who are equally skilled and employ a similar style of photography.

How far in advance should I book you?

Some people book me two years in advance and some call three weeks before the big day. But, to ensure I have availability, I recommend 6 to 9 months in advance.

Do you travel?

Yes! I travel. There is no fee for travel within 90 miles of NYC.

What do you do during the event?

I document the story of your day in an easy going unforced manner. I am everywhere the action is and, at the same time, discreet and unobtrusive. It is a privilege to be included in your day and I aspire to create a tasteful and complete record of it.
